Queen Sheba
Bethsheba A. Rem

Sheba is a 2x Grammy-Nominated Spoken Word Artist, author, educator, and cultural force. She’s rocked stages in 11 countries, taught at Clark Atlanta University, and created spaces where art meets impact.

Her 10th album, Civil WRITES: The South Got Something to Say, earned her back-to-back Grammy nominations — making her the first woman and only Atlanta-based poet to do so.

Her newest release, A Hurricane in Heels: Healed People Don’t Act Like This, pairs with her highly anticipated poetry collection, Clemency, edited by award-winning poets Claudia Rankine and Ada Limón. The book explores healing, forgiveness, and emotional survival through unflinching truth and poetic craft.

She’s also the founder of Poetry vs. Hip-Hop, a nationally touring stage show that’s given away nearly $1M to artists and continues to tour major venues across the country.
